Padma Om, CYT 500
Padma began teaching yoga in 2006. She trained in the traditional system of yoga, passed down through generations. The foundation of her classes is the eight limbs of yoga. She is practiced in various forms of yoga, including bhakti, hatha-raja, mantra, and karma yoga. All of Padma's classes are meditative in nature, encouraging self-reflection and peace of mind. Her hatha classes offer a challenge according to each student's ability and interest, and practice will increase both strength and flexibility.
In addition to integrative wellness, Padma is focused on spiritual and emotional caregiving and she is a Chaplain Intern at Duke University Hospital. She has a love of song and enjoys leading kirtan (devotional singing) as a shortcut to calmness, bliss, and faith. Padma and her husband, Josh, moved to the Burlington area in 2015 to renovate and reside in an 1800s-era homestead, and have since been blessed with 4 delightful children.
