Emerald Ralston, CYT 200
Emerald came to yoga after her military service, initially turning to the practice as a way to heal from PTSD and find her way back to her own soul. What began as a healing practice grew into a deeper exploration of yoga as a path toward self-discovery, presence, and purpose. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Tribal Yoga in Virginia and has continued to explore the contemplative, spiritual, and energetic dimensions of the practice.
Her personal practice and teaching are heavily influenced by Kundalini yoga, breathwork, meditation, ecstatic dance, and the use of movement to shift energy and deepen awareness. Her background in psychology and trauma work also shapes the way she understands healing, embodiment, and the profound relationship between mind, body, and spirit. Emerald is drawn to yoga not simply as a physical practice, but as a way of coming home to oneself. Her classes invite students to slow down, tune inward, move intuitively, and create space for whatever wants to emerge, while still leaving room for joy, curiosity, and play.
